Summer 2 has been a busy half-term already! Our new RE topic is 'The Church' and we have learnt all about our church, St Augustine's. We learnt that we are all part of a church family and so we each drew ourselves and added them to a photograph of our church! We also thought about different places of worship which led us perfectly to...
CULTURE DAY! What a brilliant day! We dressed in traditional clothing and spent the whole day learning about different countries in the world and their traditions, such as food, dancing, clothing and their flag. We found each country on the world map and spent time dancing to Eritrean music and bollywood music, as well as making our own flags and dressing up dolls in Filipino clothing.
We have also enjoyed some physical activities in the form of archery! The children tried really hard to use the equipment and some of us even managed to hit the bullseye!
I wonder what the rest of this half-term has in store for us?
