Whole School Resources

The 2 sites below are very useful for Reading and Maths. Children should have a log on for each and have been shown how to use the sites in class.

Reading - https://www.oxfordreadingbuddy.com/uk          Maths - https://www.mymaths.co.uk/

Below are links to various worksheets used in school covering Maths, Spelling and Grammar.

Each sheet can be downloaded individually by clicking the link and answers are available for each stage.

The children should recognise these sheets and know the stage they work at.
If they are unsure, a good indication is that the child's year group should ideally match their stage.

However, if your child is finding working at a certain stage too difficult they may want to work at a lower level.
We do not suggest children work at a higher stage than expected.

Art

'Home is where the Art is'

Whilst stuck at home there are lots of really brilliant things you could be doing with your children!

Here is a website with some useful links for EYFS children;

https://www.nsead.org/resources/remote-resources/reception/

And also one for KS1 & KS2 children;

https://www.nsead.org/resources/remote-resources/ks1and2/

There is also a nice activity where you make a collage snail, copying the famous artist Henry Matisse!

Henri Matisse, ‘The Snail’ 1953

This is the snail he made and you can follow the instructions here;
https://www.tate.org.uk/kids/make/cut-paste/collage-matisse-snail

If you like the Gruffalo, the illustrator Axel Scheffler has made a fun video for you to follow to draw your very own Gruffalo! You can watch the video here;
https://www.bl.uk/childrens-books/videos/axel-scheffler-how-to-draw-a-gruffalo

If the Gruffalo isn’t really your thing, perhaps a different character?

Sketchbooks! An online course for children, families, parents and teachers.
