W/C 25th June 2018                                                        Issue 25

 Summer Fair.

The school summer fair is on Friday 29th June from 2.30 – 4pm. If you want to collect your child at 2.30 to go to the fair you may do so by going to their cloakroom door as normal. If you are unable to collect them at that time they will remain in school until the usual time of 3.15pm.

We are hoping this lovely weather will stay with us so we can have a fun filled afternoon.

Each year group will be doing their own stalls or games and some of these are listed below. Items for these stalls are still required.

Year 1.  - Tombola stall and Raffle           Year 2. - Bottle Tombola and Book stall                Year 3. – Lucky Dip

Year 4. – Cake stall                      Year 5. – Chocolate/sweet tombola and refreshments

Year 6. – Bottle flip challenge and staff baby photographs                 Reception (FS2) – Wet Sponge game

There will also be a Penalty Shoot Out, Gladiators and many more games and stalls.

We are still in need of items for the Fair for example – unwanted gifts that could be used on the Tombola stall, any type of bottle as long as it is full and new (wines, pop, spirits, perfume, in fact anything in a bottle that is new and unused) for the Bottle Tombola. Chocolate and sweets for the chocolate tombola.

If you speak to the class teacher they will tell you what is needed for their stalls.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Fair on Friday.

On Tuesday 3 July some of our children will be taking part in the Yorkshire Tour. At approximately 10am the children will be greeting the cyclists who will be handing over the baton to them. They will then cycle to Brownhill Primary School and then on to Millennium Square, in Leeds City Centre, where they will pass the baton to the Lord Mayor, Councillor Graham Latty at the Civic Hall. This handover will be at approximately 11.30 am.

I believe the press may be there too so the children might even end up being on Look North! Following the celebration at the Civic Hall, the children will be transported safely back to school. You are very welcome to come to school and join the send-off we will be giving the children and perhaps you might want to make your way into town and be a part of the welcoming committee at Millennium Square too.
