W/C 25th March 2019                                                        Issue 19

We would like to remind you about the ‘sale’ in the school hall on Friday 29th March from 2.45pm onwards. We have had some items donated from a local parish which are all either new or nearly new and all we ask is that you make a contribution for any of the items there. There will not be a set price, we just ask that you give what you can afford. If you have anything you think we may be able to use which is in a clean and good condition please leave it at the school office and we can put it in our ‘sale’ to help other families.

The Easter Egg raffle has once again started in school. The raffle numbers are 20p each and there are prizes for each class. We know we can rely on your support for our fundraising during Lent. We are always amazed at how generous you are and how you support everything we do. Thank you.

Please remember that on Friday 5th April the Faith In Action group are organising an “Ambitions Day” when we ask all the children to dress up as something they would like to be when they grow up. This could be a fireman, police officer, nurse, doctor, teacher. The list is endless.  Please send in 50p with your child towards our Lenten fundraising for CAFOD and The Good Shepherd.

We have noticed that parents and children are running towards the car gate to get through it before it closes. Apart from this being extremely dangerous it is something we have asked you not to do as it causes the gates to jam costing school a lot of money to have repaired.  Parents and children are NOT to use these gates. PLEASE use the parent/pupil gates around the sides of the school.  The gates that lead in to the car park are for staff and school visitors only. This is for the safety of all. Cars, buses, vans all travel in and out of the car park and a child running behind them might not be seen – that child could be yours.

The only times the main entrance gate should be used by parents is when collecting from after school club, if your child arrives late, is collected early or for Nursery on Wednesday lunchtimes only. At the start and end of each day the small gates for parents and pupils MUST be used.

We are still getting complaints about the parking around school. PLEASE take notice of the signs and DO NOT park irresponsibly. We understand there is not much space but please for the safety of everyone park a little further away, park safely, and walk.
